Either German or Dutch in origin, the strainer dates to the 1920's or 1930's. The silver does have a couple of hallmarks (hard to find amongst the intricate work); one reads 835 and the other is hard to read due to old polish build up to the punched hallmark, probably the makers mark.
Excellent undamaged condition, a super piece for your antique silver collection or pour one's tea ... how very civilized!
