The quality and detail of this pretty box is evident at first sight, and becomes understandable when you see that it was made by the famous English silversmith, Mappin and Webb.

The glossy panel of tortoiseshell is inlaid with delicate and highly decorative silver pique.

The silver is clearly hallmarked for Birmingham 1911 together with the makers mark.

Excellent condition measuring 2 1/2" in diameter.
