Tartanware Bezique / Games Marker - McPherson

This antique Scottish Mauchline games marker would have been used to score during a game of Bezique, a popular British card game in the Victorian era.

There are no pegs, but these should be easy to find if desired. The two pegs would have been stored in the brass covered storage space at the end of the marker.

The Tartan is in excellent condition, the leather-type paper on the underside is original, and the gold numbering is clear and without wear. Although not marked on this piece, the tartan is McPherson.
