This is a fine French Faience plate, coming from Burgundy, most probably Nevers, hand painted with a rare pattern: La Tour d'Auvergne, a courageous sergeant of the Napoleon's army, attacking enemies, : telling to soldiers: we are hungry, they have food, we go to dinner!. Origin and period: authentic French primitive and historical plate, dating from 1800/1810, we guarantee. Dimensions: diameter is 9ins. Condition: is excellent, no breakage, one minimal hairline, one minimal rim chip, what is visible on our pictures, and I mention that colours lightly melted in fire, not serious
