Unbelievable Figural Silver-Plated Bronze Double-Arm Sconces with Lions

These astonishingly rare, large early 1900's sconces are magnificent. These are mounted on a small back plate, which displays a rope border, acanthus leaves and scalloped edges. A small rod protrudes from the back plate, extending to meet a faux-hammered strap adorned with faux-rivets and diamond accents. Resting upon the strap are two scalloped bobeches. Between the bobeches, a twisted and pointed rod ascends to display a floret. Guarding these fantastic sconces are two superbly cast lions, each facing the center rod. Two bent and curled straps descend from beneath the hammered strap above to meet a shield-style bottom finial, which profiles a knight in a suit of armor. These are signed "Gen. Lig. Fix Co" on the back plate and the back side of one of the lions; they are also initialed on the extension rod. These are amazingly detailed sconces, which one may never again find. These wall lamps are in excellent condition. They have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. These are 16” long, 10” wide and protrude 3 ¼” from the wall.
