This fascinating chandelier dates to the 1940’s and is constructed of hammered iron with an original darkened silver and black finish. The chandelier displays five simple candle-cups anchored by very dramatic and lovely fleur-de-lis styled straps around a hammered and scalloped center ring. The piece is suspended from five curled bands, which meet at a central loop making up a cluster that meets the heavy chain. This is a great chandelier for those wanting a robust piece, but do not have the ceiling height to accommodate most larger chandeliers as this light fixture can be set up to have as little as a 25” drop. This light fixture is in excellent condition, and would suit any Gothic Revival, Tudor, or Old World décor. Initially French in origin, it has been professionally rewired to American standards and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. This chandelier is 31” at it’s widest; the length of the chandelier only is 18”; the total length (as pictured) is 47”.
