Offered here is this striking pair of mantle vases from Scheurich. Nice to find as a set of near matched but not identical vases. Both are 18cm ( 7 1/4" ) high and are marked 523-18 W Germany. The glaze is a flat matte mottled brown with a vivid red flowing center band. Above and below this band is a cafe au lait glaze.

One vase has a glazed over low spot on the rim otherwise there are no chips, cracks, fleabites or repairs.
