Vintage AYNSLEY 1930's Glenwood Nile Pattern 5 Piece Place Settings

Offered here we have 6 beautiful John Aynsley & Sons 5 piece place settings available. There are 30 pieces in total if you are looking for a lovely service for six. Pattern name is Glenwood Nile and the pattern number is 1170. This Fine Bone China was made in Longton, England - backstamp dated 1930's as shown in attached pictures.

Wide creamy ivory colored band is trimmed at the edge with a thinner seafoam green colored band - gilt scrolling overlaps the two colored sections where they join - other end of ivory band is trimmed with a solid gold band - center section is a crisp bright white. Each footed and slightly scalloped cup has a kidney shaped handle also highlighted with rich gold gilt. Saucer & Plates all have a slightly crimped edge that are trimmed with gilt banding. Each teacup stands just over 2" high, each saucer measures just over 5.5" in diameter, each bread & butter plate measures 6.25" in diameter, each salad plate measures 8.25" in diameter, and each dinner plate measures 10.25" in diameter. This pattern is very similar to the the Shelley China pattern titled "Acanthus".

Pictures don't do these pieces justice - this beautiful vintage set is in excellent condition - there are no chips, cracks, crazing, breaks, or repairs - the colors & gilt trim is all clear, bright & intact. Glare in pictures is from camera (sorry).
