Offered here is this pair of wall pockets produced just after the war by Carstens. Very earthy feel to this pair with semi matte chocolate brown and yellow glaze on an ovoid ribbed body. Both pieces are 13cm ( 5") in length and both are marked with shape number and Foreign stamp. There are no chips or cracks but it appears that these held flowers at one time. Thanks for stopping by. I am pleased to offer this pair of MCM vases from West German maker Carstens. Fantastic African themed pieces date from the 1950's. Both have bisque exterior with hand coloring and high gloss slip decoration. The interior is glazed in a high gloss olive green. The chalice vase is 4 7/8" high with a 3 1/2" diameter mouth. Offered here is this terrific little teardrop vase from Carstens. Dating from the 1950's, this is a real eye pleasing look. The upper and lower bands are thinly covered with a white glaze. This pair of planting pots was made by Carstens Tonnieshof and are an interesting spin on the normal fat lava treatment. Both have dark chocolate bisque exterior with a speckled fat lava white glaze. This is an absolutely wonderful piece of 1970's fat lava pottery from West German maker Carstens. I won't use the word rare, but these figural items are very seldomly found. This fella is an owl that is covered in a dark cobalt blue with flame orange glaze. He measures 15cm ( 5 7/8" ) high and 14cm ( 5 1/2" ) wide. It still retains original sticker and rectangular rubber stopper. You may have to search a while to find another bank in this glaze. He is Fantastic!
