Some of the best Victorian porcelain was souvenir ware from the factory of William Goss of Stoke on Trent. The quality of the manufacture and decoration of Goss pieces has been responsible for the enthusiastic collecting community which has built up over the years. This 4 1/2" tea pot dates from late in C19th. But is not later than 1891, after which it would have "England" appended to its signature. The item shows the crest of historic Hackney (Hackney had its best days when the Romans were around and when Henry VIII was on the throne). It also carries the three sabres of Middlesex, unique for having a county cricket team but, since 1965, no territory. Quality and condition perfect. Worldwide insured air shipping included.
