There are spirit flasks and there are spirit flasks. Firstly, interesting pieces in brown salt glaze, often with the name of the inn and the publican predominated in the nineteenth century serious drinking dens of the capital. Then there were the more aristocratic and highly decorated flasks such as this 7" long and 6" high example from around 1830. Condition excellent.
