Boy Riding Snake - Edwardian

$175 USDBoy Riding Snake - Edwardian

Antiques:Household Accessories - Decorative
This vibrant cold painted casting of an (indian ??) boy riding a snake recalls memories of Rudyard Kipling's adventure stories around 1900. The modeling and casting is excellent' and the painting has mainly survived. Condition excellent. Worldwide insured air shipping is included in the list price. Nothing extra to pay.
Mauchline Go-To-Bed - Victorian

$125 USDMauchline Go-To-Bed - Victorian

Antiques:Household Accessories - Decorative
This three inch tall and 1 1/2" in diameter is a go-to-bed; a Victorian speciality piece. Inside the barrel are found vesta matches. These are sized to remain lit for enough time to allow the householder fit into the antique ivory holder and then mount the stairs and light the upstairs light of the evening. This piece is particularly interesting as it is an example of a Mauchline fernware piece in colour, from around 1875. Worldwide shipping included in listed price. Nothing extra to pay.
