Vintage 1930s Black Sparkly Velvet Evening Dress with Rhinestone

This is a late 1930s period dress, featuring wonderful black sparkly rayon velvet fabric. The dress has "poofed" sleeves at the shoulder, gathered front and sleeves and matching belt with rhinestone studded metal ends. The dress has a zipper at its side and snaps on the right shoulder. It has no size label, but I would call it large size. Please rely on the following measurements for fit.

Bust: 42" Waist: 34" Hips: 44" Shoulders: 15 1/2" across the shoulders seam-to-seam Sleeve length: 24" Sleeve inseam: 17" Bottom Sweep: 80" Overall length: 46"

This dress is in very good uncleaned condition with the exception of a small area at the posterior of the dress where the nappe of the velvet is matted - fairly minor and not that noticeable. This is a glamorous period dress, great under the lights as the sparkle flecks in the velvet will glitter. Please click on any photo to enlarge for a better view.
