This set of 2 chairs reflects the relatively simple and elegant style from the Directoire period (1795-1799), but probably made circa 1850. Made of fruitwood with a red, mahogany like finish. Reupholstered with a rare horse hair fabric with small stripes in the green/blue/gray tones.

Approximate dimensions: Width:13 3/4" and 11 1/2 in the back ; Depth:19" ; Height: 32 1/4".
