Here is something to make the die-hard New York Yankee baseball fan salivate. An original New York subway Yankee Stadium lighted traffic signal exit stop. I believe this traffic signal to have been placed at the subway stop at the corner of 161st street and River Ave. This traffic signal is engraved on the back with the following: "LFE Corporation traffic actuated automatic signal division ". On the inside door is "HS-1951-2, which is what I presume to be the date--1951, of manufacture. This signal is most likely one of a kind or extremely close to it. The light is operational and appears to have been originally hard wired, but changed to a plug for household current and appears to have been originally mounted on a pole. The thick and heavy blue/green lens appears to be constructed of tiny glass cubes, with the outside of the lens having a coating of silver paint with the words "Yankee Stadium, and a highlighted baseball player with bat---all quite dramatic when lit, as you can see in the pictures. This yellow signal weighs a hefty 7 pounds 11 ounces and measures approx. 10" tall, 10" wide, and 7" deep. This traffic signal is in very good condition with wear commensurate with its age, that is, scratches, scrapes, paint loss, and slight rust. This is a truly remarkable piece of sports memorabilia and I sincerely doubt that another one like this will come along anytime soon, if at all. Buyer to pay exact postage and insurance.
