Here is a vintage Tibetan gau, or traveling shrine box with detailed high relief silver front, copper sliding back panel, and a central deity figure made out of, what appears to be clay. Once the back panel is removed it reveals what appears to be a prayer sheet and a cloth material (see pictures). The box measures approx. 3 1/4" tall, 2" wide, and 2 1/8" deep. The box is in excellent condition with the exception of tarnish, surface wear, and light dinging of copper back. Buyer to pay exact postage and insurance.
