Here is a pitcher that only surfaces once in a great while. A Joseph Stubbs Dale Hall Longport Burslem Staffordshire Potteries, American historical dark blue transferware pitcher with a medallion on one side of New York City Hall, and a medallion on the other side of Boston State House, together with grazing cows in the foreground and strolling couples in the foreground, with a background of dark blue floral pattern. This fantastic pitcher dates from 1814-1830, and measures approx. 6 1/2" tall to spout tip, and 7 3/8" from spout to handle. The condition of this pitcher is really outstanding for its age with the exception of light crazing, some staining / discoloration inside and along the spout and rim, rough areas along the spout and rim, and under a magnifying glass a few very light scratches scattered around, The pitcher itself has very little wear and although the medallion with the strolling couples may at first glance look like it has scratches, but they are in effect mottling of the white transfer from manufacture and not damage. The colors are clear and vivid and the pitcher has no chips, hairlines, or repairs, hairlines, We are happy to accept lay-a-ways!
