Here is an extremely uncommon oriental vase /jug/ vessel with handpainted oriental girl holding what looks to be a shining ruby, with bird if paradise/peacock, and surrounded by flowers and leaves in colors of blue, light orange, and green. This imposing 15 1/2" tall vessel has a one inch opening on top which suggests to me that it had some type of cork to plug it up. It could have been used to hold wine, water, ashes?. I have never seen another like it, and it definitely has age to it. I would date it to the 1800s. The vase is heavy weighing 6 pounds 15.4 ounces and is in excellent condition with only surface wear and paint fade. We are happy to accept lay-a-ways! We require a non-refundable deposit of 25% within 10 days, and the balance to be paid in full within 30-60 days.
