Old Chinese Export Toy Drum Dragon Brass Pegs Wood Body

Here is a highly unusual Chinese export toy drum with a dragon decoration on both sides, wood body, one brass handle (used to be two), and top and bottom of drum having brass pegs (one side missing two pegs. The less worn dragon side has the words "Make In China) in red letters. I don't know what material the top and bottom side (where you would bang the drum) is made of (perhaps dried cloth or leather pulled tight). The drum measures 9 1/4" across, and 4" tall. The drum could date to the 1930's or before, is in worn condition with extensive paint flakes, chips, paint / color loss, and wear, It has had a lot of use, but you need to take into consideration that this is a highly unusual oriental item.
