THE PLAYERS: Top quality genuine all natural Sleeping Beauty Turquoise in wee faceted coins (6mm) and all 14k Gold Fill back up players including some super cool flat wire that I used for lacing; 1-1/4 inch hoops.

COMPOSITION: Hand wrapped with 14k Gold Fill wire. Suspended from handmade earwires.

TRACK TIME: Lobe descent is 1-3/4" which includes the earwire.

LINER NOTES: A true Turquoise junkie, I have been collecting it since the 70's when I first became aware of the gorgeous Native American jewelry being made and sold. Some of my absolute favorite jewelry and stones were purchased in San Francisco and Arizona in the 70's when silversmiths and jewelry craftsmen traveled with their wares, selling it in kiosks that lined the streets near Haight Ashbury in SF and all over Arizona.

I have admired and appreciated Persian Turquoise as well, and revel in the elaborate and Gold laden settings & elements generally used for design and displaying the phenomenal gems to their fullest potential.

We here in the USA typically think of Turquoise as being paired with Sterling...which I agree is wonderful, beautiful and will never go out of style - but to see a quality piece of Turquoise paired with Gold is a sight you do not want to miss. These simple but unique hoops have been a staple in my line for many many years - this pair has been modernized with some unusual wire - check the close up photo.
