Still in its original slipcover, this set of eight cards, which measure over 6 1/2" x 5 1/4" each, features titles and descriptions in French, English, and what I believe is Flemish. Artist A. Bastien depicted the flaming battle that took place during WWI when the Belgian army defended the Yser Canal again the Germans in October of 1914. Slipcover is a little stained at the back, but the postcards themselves are in excellent, albeit it yellowed, vintage condition. Please be advised each has been stamped "July 14 1947" on its back.
