Fully functioning clasp, and inside there is a zippered pocket that reads "Collins" and also features the horse logo beside it. Additionally, the inside reads "Copyright Collins of Texas."
Now comes a run-down on the age-appropriate signs of wear to this handbag, which was probably created in the 1960s. The beige leather has seen better days and there is some wear to the handles, though they are intact and functioning. The overlying leather flap that covers the clasp is somewhat worn and there is also some wear to the leather at the base of the purse, on the lower right-hand side. Also, there's some nicking of the wooden base, though that is of course no major issue when the purse is carried.
Additionally, there is wear to the large plastic cabochons--but that is in the form of dullness and at the facets rather than something more obvious such as chipping. While certainly not overly obvious in the grand scheme of this design, please be advised there are four missing stones: one at the very tip of the longer of the roadrunner's tail feathers, the entire flower with the rhinestone flower right beneath it being M.I.A., the rhinestone at the center of the fourth flower from the top of the longer tail feather, and an amber-colored cab on the upper right-hand side that should be adjacent to the large round centerpiece.
Again, this is still a striking collectible, but for the above-stated reasons, we are offering this Enid Collins creation at a specially reduced, as-is price.
