Artisan Lou Stiverson turned a somewhat humdrum vintage purse into a unique and utterly charming accessory with this one. I will let her describe her creation, so enhanced by the beautiful lady with the resin face, in her own words:
"The handbag used for my creation is a 50's black material, pleated all around with golden by-pass top closure. It's in pristine condition and marked J.R. Made in the USA. From bottom to closure it's 6" tall. Side to side is 9" and it's 2 1/2" across the bottom. The strap is 6", and also of the same pleated material. Inside is done with black taffeta-like material and there's a small inside pocket, also with a golden by-pass closure top. It's embellished with a 3 dimensional head of a Victorian-era lady. She's surrounded with white marabou feathers, golden glitter material, and golden & cream lace, then accented with a small pink silken rose. From her outfit descends a series of faux-pearl cascades, one ending with acrylic clear beads, and one clear briolette drop. As with all of my art items, it won't be duplicated."
