Set in silvertone metal, all the stones are prongset and none has been dimmed by time. The outside border consists of large smoky baguettes with open backs. This creation has to be seen to be believed. Measuring 4 3/8" high, it was, the former owner advised me, created by Wendy for a Vogue cover shoot in 1986. Bugle beads, black sequins, rhinestones (all clear and in place), and a large aurora-borealis glass centerpiece were all hand-applied to a big brass cuff. A riddle wrapped in an enigma, we found this most impressive silvertone necklace in one of my favorite cities, Indianapolis. The striking, albeit pock-marked-looking visage measures approx. 3 1/2" long x 1 3/4" at its widest point. Chain features a fully functioning clasp and measures approx. 18" around, 19 3/4" with pendant top included. In excellent condition; shiny and appears never to have been worn.
