This charmingly jovial Buddha was originally a part of the stock in a now-closed Oriental gift shop located in New Jersey, dating back to the early 1970s. In excellent vintage condition and never worn, he is constructed of a resinous plastic and is set open-backed in goldtone metal. Measures approx. 2 1/4" long x 1 1/2" at his widest point. Hard to find these ivory-like old boys in the coolie-hat style, so I was pleased to come across this pendant, which measures approx. 1 1/2" x just over 1" at its widest point. We have added a new bail to white devil and suspended him from a chunky chain measuring about 18" long. He looks quite happy--if not downright gleeful--there, I must say!
