A tremendous set of eight 19th century hand carved walnut Venetian side chairs with tall pierced carved backs and leather cushioned seats.  The chairs exhibit spectacular hand carving and sturdiness, with graceful long lines and pegged construction.   They are supported on cabriole legs with wide carved knees and padded feet connected by H-curved stretchers.  It is almost impossible to find a matching set of 8 dining chairs in this condition.   Every chair is in excellent structural shape; the leather on some of the chairs is worn but still usable, however you can choose to recover in your own material.  Size 47" H x 20" W x 18" D.
