Large two-part bolted German Dresden compote, made by the decorating firm of Carl Thieme. The compote features an oblong reticulated bowl decorated with hand painted garlands and floral encrustation. The bowl is bolted onto a stylized column embellished with climbing cherubs and floral encrustation.

This lovely compote is wonderful for a centerpiece decoration and beautiful from all angles. The compote is circa early 20th century and is in good condition with minor chips present on a few of the flowers and one of the cherubs hands, all age related.
