Antique oil painting on canvas of a shepherdess tending her flock in a meadow with a knitting needle in her hand. The painting is signed in the lower left hand corner by the artist, (Looks like P. Bruner) The painting is set into a gilt rubbed shadowbox frame and is in good condition with minor professional restoration to the carved banding. The painting is in excellent condition on original canvas with beautiful depth, requisite signs of age, and very nice detail. Size of frame, 30 1/2" height by 26" width, size of visible art, 18 1/2" height by 15 1/2" width, 1840-60.
