An outstanding early 20th century Italian ceramic sculpture depicting a large floral bouquet set into a woven basket. This work is typical of the early 20th century Italian sculptors who created beautiful life-like floral bouquets out of a heavy semi-porcelain and then subtly decorated them in soft pastel enamels. They are quite a contrast to the later pieces which were often garish in color and of a less heavy more porous ceramic.

This is truly a work of art, perfect as a centerpiece and magnificent seen from all angles. There are a few flea bites throughout the flowers, but these are age related and relatively minor in comparison with all the dripping flowers, leaves, and vines densely decorating this wonderful piece. The sculpture is signed on the base "M. Tucci" but we have been unable find that particular artist.
