Probable Staffordshire Ironstone Soup Tureen with Underplate in the "Tree of Life" pattern with beautiful scrolled handles highlighted in gilt, the cover with pomegranate fruit and leaves, the tureen on a pedestal with matching underplate. This would be fabulous as a table or sideboard centerpiece, size tureen 12" height by 12" diameter, underplate 14 1/2" diameter, in excellent condition with minor restoration, c. 1840-60.
