A late 18th century English William & Mary grain painted Chest on Stand, the outstepped top portion having two drawers over three graduating long drawers, the lower stand with scalloped frieze containing narrow center drawer flanked by two deeper drawers. The chest is supported on six cup and ring turned legs with serpentine stretchers. The grain painted finish as well as the chest are in excellent condition commensurate with age, hardware has been replaced; size 60” H x 39 ½” W x 22” D.
