Store your lingerie in style, one drawer for each day of the week! Named for the French word semaine meaning "week," 18th century semaniers often contained a separate supply of linen, shirts and so on for each day of the week. This fine late 19th C. example features beautiful satinwood marquetry. Each drawer has a locking mechanism, the chest is finished with a marble top and brass gallery surround. It is in excellent condition with minor restoration to the marble top and a few veneer chips; size 48" H x 22" W x 14" D.
