Napoleon III Second Empire Cabinet with Bronze Mounts

A magnificent French mahogany cabinet or dresser from the Napoleon III Second Empire (1848-70) era topped with a Verde antico marble slab over two doors supported on plinth base. The interior is fitted with linen drawers. The Egyptian influence is evident in the highly decorative bronze mounts draping the doors and in the full figured bronze Caryatids supports flanking each door. The beautiful bronze mounts were professionally polished to their former brilliance over 5 years ago and are in excellent condition. This cabinet is the height of the Empire style and shows the influence of both Napoleon and his love of Egyptian motif; size 38” H x 51” W x 28” D. Included with the cabinet is a matching frame and oval mirror. You can choose to use it with or without the mirror.
