Titled "Up Guards, and At Them," this old, large print portrays the Duke of Wellington waving his hat (the signal for a general advance) at the close of the battle of Waterloo. Print under glass, by artist R(ichard) Caton Woodville, 1856-1927, renowned painter of British battles, many for the Illustrated London News. Slight water spot upper left; older stain, not on matte. Recently re-framed and matted with glare-free glass; size of frame, 40 3/4" H x 30" W; size of visible art, 32" H x 21 1/2" W.
