French Art Nouveau Wrought Iron Torchiere

A magnificent French Art Nouveau hand forged torchiere with a hammered surface. The four-legged scrolled ribbon base, fastened by a horizontal platform ring, joins to a squared column. The column separates at the top to form four candle arms, also fastened by a platform ring with a center finial. The torchiere has a rustic oiled finish that is original and extraordinary. This is an extremely heavy piece, very substantial and perfect for any room of the house. It was originally made for candles but has been newly electrified and is ready to plug in; size 66 ½ (top of candle cover.)
