This simply outstanding porcelain figurine of a parrot was decorated by the esteemed Porcelaine de Paris workshop of Jean Marx Clauss, formely The Pouyat Brothers. This workshop produced exemplary porcelain figures in the style of Meissen and supplied all of Europe with blanks in the 19th and early 20th centuries. Their pure white porcelain was sold to England and decorated there by esteemed potters such as Billingsley. This beautiful bird figure is hand painted with fine detail, and was sold by the luxury landmark NY store "B. Altman." It is in excellent condition with minute chipping to a few of the flower tips commensurate with age; size 12" H.
