Art Pottery Bohemia Teplitz Shell Form Dragon Handle Jug

Late 19th century shell form shaped Teplitz hand painted pottery jug with a full figured dragon handle; embellished with enamel glazed flowers highlighted in raised gilt enamel; the base is decorated with coral formations.

The jug is in excellent condition, no chips, repairs, or breaks, the only discrepancy is that there was a small hole in the base that was professionally plugged at some time before our possession. The mark was covered up but reads Teplitz porcelain.

Size 14 1/2" height by 9 1/2" length
