An American Sterling Shoehorn, made by Gorham

This shoehorn is remarkable for it's scale, weight and unusual construction. It has a hollow handle with continues down to a heavy hammered blade. The front of the handle is handsomely engraved with linear motifs, incorporating small scrolling swags and a flower centered at the top.

The shoehorn is 8 1/8" (20.8 cm) long and is 1 7/8" (5 cm) at it's widest point.

It is marked with the Gorham logo, STERLING, the date mark for 1918, and a Gorham item number of 3-30B.
