Rare silverplate half bottle champagne holder

This is a rare piece, very few were produced. Silverplate half bottle champagne holder, marked "Meriden B Co, Quadruple plate, 39, Patent March 8th 1881, Moritz Korff. It closes with a nail in the handle. The handle is very ornate with grape motifs. Origin: American. Circa 1890.

Approximate dimensions: Width: 5 1/2"; Depth: 3 1/2"; Height: 9 1/2".
