This is an unusual coffee container. It is cardboard with a metal top and bottom. It is labeled Trident Coffee and was distributed by The Hooven Mercantile Company, New York, New York. It dates to around the 1940’s. It has instructions for making coffee that predate the percolator style coffee pot. This is a really nice find although it is not in the greatest condition. Unfortunately, part of the label on the back is ripped and missing, but it is quite a collectible container nevertheless. It measures 4" in diameter and is 5" high.
