Old Carpenter’s Wood Plane

This is a nice old carpenter’s wood plane. It measures approximately 9 ½” long and 5 ½” from the bottom of the plane to the top. It is 1 ½” at its widest point. It shows decades of use and age. The wood has a beautiful patina and the edges are smoothed from time and use. The edges of the wood on one end are broken off and worn down. One of the ends on the metal plane is broken off. There are no maker’s marks on either piece. The peg that holds the blade in place is missing.
