Cute Little Ceramic Chimp or Monkey Made in Japan

This is a really adorable little ceramic chimp or monkey. It is stamped on the bottom Japan. It measures approximately 4” in height and 2 ¼” in width. Except for some minor paint loss, roughness and what looks like a small chip on his ear, he is in good condition. He dates to around the 1940’s or 50’s.
