Pure Aluminum Steam Vent Cooking Pot

This is a nicely decorated cooking pot with a hinged lid and a steam vent. This was a very well designed pot. The cover has a small round disk that lifts up to vent steam. The sides of the cover have metal hinged straps that tightly latch the cover to the pot. It is marked Pure Aluminum, Made in U.S.A. on the bottom, It dates to around the mid 1900’s. It measures approximately 6 ½” in height and 8 ½” in diameter. It has scratches, oxidation due to age, and some spotting. It is a nice example of high style aluminum crafting and a great collectible.
