This is a really nice early American pattern glass EAPG bread plate in very good condition. It is clear glass. In raised lettering it states: “Give us this day our daily bread”. There is a large horseshoe in the center. There are horseshoe shaped handles on each side of the plate. Thee are anchors in the center of the horseshoe handles. The rim of the plate is decorated with raised glass beads. The inverted horseshoe is an early symbol for good luck. The plate dates to 1881. It measures approximately 13” in length and 9” wide.
