Beautiful Vintage Wooden & Cloth Fan

Welcome to Penaroyal Collectibles!!! We have for sale a wonderful old hand fan that is made of wood and cloth. When opened this item measures approx 21 ½” across x 12 ¾” tall including the loop at the bottom. We are not sure of this items age. It looks like something from the mid to late 1800’s. The wood is black in color and has hand painted flowers and scroll patterns on each piece. The material looks like taffeta and it is between an extra dark brown and black color. At the bottom of this fan is a metal loop. This fan is in good condition for its age. It does show some wear, the material has a few small pin holes, it is frayed on the edges some, the material has a dark look in some areas and we are not sure what that is from, one of the wood pieces is broken near the bottom and that one also has a small crack and the loop at the bottom has a little rust. The most visible thing is the dark areas on the material. Even with the wear this item has it would look great displayed with a dress from the 1800’s.
