This is a lovely 17'' old doll, dress in a green period dress of taffeta with a beautiful hand crotchet pinafore attached to the waist. The pinafore covers the sides and open to the back and front. The same crotchet material is applied to the buxom of the dress. The undergarments are a white camisole and long white underpants (have turn a little yellow from age), there are no shoes. The body is kid leather and have wood dust filling (there is a small hole where some of the filling is coming out). The doll is unmarked other than the # 370 on the lower bisque neck. The body is in good condition, except what looks like a old home made repair to the right and left sides, down to the legs. The open mouth doll has four expose teeth, violet fixed glass eyes, brown applied eyebrows and eye lashes and brown long mohair wig without the pate. The lips are painted pink , and lovely pink blush on the cheeks There is no damages to the lovely face or hands, there is no shoes. The green dress do have fading on the sleeves. The doll measures 17'' long, I believe it might be a German doll, maybe an Armand Marseilles. This is a wonderful early 19th century or late 1890's doll. I have already listed five other dolls from this family of four generations. Layaway is available up to four months with 25% down.
