1930's Black Americana Lusterware Holder

What a great piece of black americana and/or lusterware. This is identified as a toothpick holder in the books, but it seems to big an opening for that (opening measures 1 1/2"). Also notice the handle on the pot. I was thinking more along the lines of a match holder. Either way the dog is after the little ones who are sitting on the fence. All coloring is excellent and there are NO chips, nicks or cracks. The marking on the bottom is in red and says "Made in Japan". Made in Japan is also incised on the back, which helps to date this to the 1930's. Bottom measures 3 1/2" across by 2" wide. 3 1/2 inches to the top of the highest point. What a fantastic cross collectible.
