The front of this watch fob reads, "United States Steel Corporation" around the top, in the center is the bust of E. H. Gary with his name and Chairman underneath. Gary was the first chairman of US Steel from the year it was formed in 1901 until his death in 1927. The back of the piece depicts 3 steel workers and the boss with a steel mill and train in the background. The top reads, "25 Years of Service" and the bottom reads, "Sterling" and is engraved Charles H. Sims. The original leather strap is still attached and in excellent condition. I have not cleaned the piece though I know it would show better but many people like the patina so it is up to the owner to clean it if they so desire.
