The lid on this may be silver or silverplate, I am not sure, I found no marks but if it is plated, it is still in great shape. This stands 7.5" tall and is perfect for any cobalt blue pattern.

This may have been designed as a powder jar but could be used for just about anything!! The lid and base are ribbed and the rims are in a sawtooth pattern that fits together when closed. The center of the lid is engraved, "New York 1945 Mid". The piece is about 5.5" across and 3" high; it is excellent condition with no damage, I haven't even found a flea bite on the sawtooth edges.
