I have not found a signature on this piece but would certainly attribute to McClelland Barclay just by the quality and style of the piece. It is gilt bronze has a bowl made in the shape of a lily pad, along the rim sits a tiny frog. The stem and foot of the piece is truly Art Nouveau with swirled bronze adorned with a small lily pad and finished with a curled lily pad resembling a fish tail. The bowl measures 8" across and is 2" deep, overall heighth is 4" and it is heavy weighing over 3 pounds ...

The mark on this pair of outstanding, true, Art Nouveau, candlesticks indicates that these were made between 1890-1908. They were made in Austria and imported by P. H. Leonard of New York. They are in exquisite condition with NO chips, cracks, fleabites or crazing. Each one is hand painted in gold on a silver, luster-ware background. They stand 8" tall and the bases are about 3" square. Both are marked on the bottom with the Vienna China trademark.
